In the midst of a fundamental change to how we design, we find ourselves at a moment between the old and the new, between the fulcrum of linear and exponential growth. The latter stretched out over a long enough timeline may indeed look more linear. The tools we are being presented with are a gateway into what many see as a seachange in how many aspects of our lives will be changed with the advent of all of the current technology laid before us.
Below you will find several images created in what I will term collaboration between the AI systems, language, meaning and myself. What I see is truly an externalizing of a process between thought and how we bring ideas into fruition, let's say, toolmaking. As sapiens, we are currently in the process of further expansion as we increase the symbiosis between the toolmaker and the tools we make.

One note to make is at the time of publication of these images, each system has added rapidly expanded capabilities to its already powerful toolset. Midjouney has added a photorealistic option, and DALL-E 2 has added the edit feature to expand the previously set 1024x1024 canvas based on an image input and additional prompting.
